Terms of Service
The agreement between you and GlassKit when you visit the site, use the UI library, build with Studio, or buy a Stack license.

[01]·Agreement to terms
By accessing glasskit.app, using the GlassKit UI library, using GlassKit Studio, or purchasing a GlassKit Stack license, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the site or the products.
These terms form a binding contract between you and GlassKit (us). If you are using GlassKit on behalf of a company, you confirm that you have authority to bind that company.
[02]·The products
These terms cover three products:
- GlassKit UI — a free, open-source component library (Section 03).
- GlassKit Studio— a hosted AI app builder for Meta Ray-Ban Display apps, billed with prepaid credits (Sections 04–10).
- GlassKit Stack — a commercial boilerplate license (Section 11 and /license).
[03]·GlassKit UI (open source)
GlassKit UI is free and open source, published on npm as @glasskit-ui/react under the MIT License. Your use of the library is governed by the MIT License included with the package, not by the Studio or Stack terms below. It is provided “as is”; using it requires no account and creates no ongoing obligation between us.
[04]·Studio accounts
Using Studio requires an account (via our authentication provider, Clerk). You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for activity under your account, and for keeping your login secure. One account per person; do not share credentials.
[05]·Studio credits & billing
Studio is billed with credits, a prepaid unit used to meter AI generation:
- New accounts receive a one-time grant of free credits to try the product. Free credits do not renew.
- You can buy additional credits in prepaid packs. Purchased credits do not expire and there is no subscription.
- GlassKit Stack buyers receive a one-time credit grant, applied once per order.
- Credits are a proprietary unit for accessing the service. They have no cash value, are not currency, and are not transferable or redeemable for money.
- Each generation deducts a variable number of credits based on the work performed. We show your balance in-product.
Purchased credits are non-refundable once bought, except where a refund is required by applicable law. Prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes, which our payment processor (Polar, merchant of record) calculates and collects.
[06]·Your content & ownership
You retain ownership of the prompts you write and the apps Studio generates for you. You can export any project as a complete, runnable code package (ZIP) or push it to your own private GitHub repository at any time — there is no lock-in.
To provide the service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, transmit, display, and host your content as needed to generate, preview, edit, publish, and back up your apps — including sending your prompts and uploads to the AI providers described in our Privacy Policy.
[07]·Acceptable use of Studio
You may not use Studio to build, generate, or publish anything that:
- is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or facilitates harm;
- infringes intellectual property or privacy rights;
- distributes malware or attempts phishing;
- harasses, or contains hateful or sexually exploitative material.
We screen prompts and outputs against this policy and may refuse, rate-limit, or remove content, and suspend accounts that abuse the service.
[08]·Publishing & hosting
When you publish an app, we host it at a public URL on glasskit.studio and, optionally, on a custom domain you connect. You are solely responsible for the apps you publish and for the content they contain.
Published apps are user-generated content. We may remove or disable any published app that violates Section 07 or applicable law, with or without notice, and may reinstate it if the issue is resolved.
[09]·AI-generated code
Studio generates code with AI models. Generated code is provided “as is” and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or insecure. You are responsible for reviewing, testing, and securing any code before you ship it or rely on it. We make no warranty that generated output is correct, fit for a particular purpose, or free of third-party rights.
[10]·Availability
Studio is offered on an ongoing but evolving basis. Features may change, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. If we discontinue Studio, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to export your projects.
[11]·GlassKit Stack license
The GlassKit Stack is a commercial software license granting access to a private GitHub repository containing the boilerplate (a pnpm + Turborepo monorepo). The Maker tier licenses you to ship unlimited commercial products of your own; the Agency tier adds white-label rights for client work. Full license terms are documented at /license.
Payment unlocks immediate access to the repository; you receive a GitHub invitation within minutes of checkout. Because the license is delivered in full at purchase, Stack license sales are final, subject to the critical-defect exception in /license §09.
[12]·Intellectual property
GlassKit (including the Studio service, the Stack source code, documentation, website content, design, and branding) is the exclusive property of GlassKit and its licensors, except for GlassKit UI, which is licensed to everyone under the MIT License (Section 03). Your use grants you the rights described in these terms, not ownership of GlassKit. Apps and products you build are yours, subject to these terms.
[13]·Disclaimer of warranties
GlassKit is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that GlassKit will be error-free, secure, or available without interruption.
You assume all risk associated with the quality and performance of GlassKit and any apps or products you build using it.
[14]·Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GlassKit and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from your use of GlassKit.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
[15]·Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GlassKit and its contributors from any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, or expense (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, the apps you build or publish, or your use of GlassKit in violation of applicable law.
[16]·Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which GlassKit is incorporated, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
[17]·Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes are communicated to active users via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the site or products after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
